Natron category

Hello I hope this is the right way for a proposal.
Mostly to @patdavid.

Maybe you have, maybe you dont have heard about the nodal compositing program named Natron.
In a nutshel it is the free and open source equivalent to Nuke, After Effects or Fusion. Its comming very far and even got Gmic implemented
https://natron.fr
After some changes this year the Frederic Devernay from the core development team wrote this thread today.
https://forum.natron.fr/t/building-a-community-managed-natron-ecosystem/2150

And my thought was that like the Rawtherapy,-Gmic,-Darktable communitys found their home here, it would be great to welcome the Natron community also here.

This was Frederics response:
https://discuss.pixls.us/ looks like a very nice solution! GIMP, Natron, G’MIC and RawTherapee share many components. Do you know how to contact Pat and ask if it’s possible to create a Software/Natron category?

So here I am, trying clumsy as ever, to bring the communities together.

Howdy! It appears that Natron already has their own Discourse forum up and running?

https://forum.natron.fr/

I am quite happy to welcome them over here, but is their old forum going to go away? Or did they want to migrate to a completely new place?

@darix any feeling for migrating discourse → discourse (possibly even multisite?). I think it’d be better overall to have them as another category possibly to help cross-pollination and visibilty.

I’ll make an account there and reach out.

Thanks Pat!
You are the best.

Yes they have their own Discourse forum up and running.
But I dont have the answers to the other questions, so I copy/paste youre answer to the thread on the Natron forum.
But I guess you are way faster with reaching out as I am with copying

we would need to ask discourse upstream about it. no idea of the top of my head.
