Let me know what you think
(And yes it is slightly inspired by my wakui tutorial, but then things go a different way…)

I am from India and I can clearly see that your images get the essential `feel’ of the place. Very nice.

There is one thing however I feel is missing. That is the very colourfulness of our clothing. I always feel that we tend to use much more vibrantly coloured clothes than the western counterparts. With your processing for the buildings, if you can leave out the clothing of people in the picture, it might add a nice touch. Just a thought.

Hi @shreedhar,

I totally agree with you that it is a sin to actually uncolor india. But this is just a look I came up with, for the sake of the look.
I use it on certain pictures only, at the moment only some street pictures. Most of the thousands of pictures I have of india are with all the colors and they will stay so!!

For all non indians, if you want to make a vacation with a guarantee to find phenomenal motives, then india is a no brainer!
(oh, and there’s wonderful food, and interesting and nice people also…)

Cheers
Stephan

PS: Where are you from in india, if I may ask?

I am originally from Mumbai, the most uninteresting part of india as far as westerners are concerned! Now I stay in Bengalore. Even this is quite westernised compared to Gujarat (I can read the sign boards in Gujarati language) where you went.

Don’t get me wrong. I feel that your processing works wonderfully on the buildings (giving it a quaint dusty look which is so Indian) and roads but the clothes becomes drab too. We call such coloured clothes ` English colours ':grinning: A bit too understated for our tastes. So if you can mask out your processing only on some clothes, it might give a more Indian look is what I thought.

BTW, loved your Wakui tutorial too.

Yeah I totally understand what you mean, I may try what you are suggesting. But it will make the clothes stand out radically, which make look cool or be just to much…we’ll see.

By the way, i have also been to Bangalore a couple of times…nice place to stay. (And yes it is quite westernized). Me and my wife like it!
