Nikon D600 Noise profile missing for me. Anyone else ?

Hello all !

I’m using darktable 3.2.1.
I have many Nikon D600 pics, taken at 6400 ISO that I’d like to denoise.
The Denoise (profiled) module does not find a Nikon D600 camera noise profile.
Am I alone with this ?

To try workaround this issue, I’ve find the noiseprofile from the D600 twin camera (=Nikon D610) which basically uses the same sensor as the Nikon D600.

I’ve been struggling for 2 hours now to try feed darktable’s command line with the --noiseprofiles argument … but it seems the json file I’m feeding it with is not in the right format.

Has anyone ever succeded in doing so ?
How did your noiseprofiles.json looked like ?

My file is JSON validated,
yet I get a " [noiseprofile] error: `(path)/noiseprofiles/D600.json’ is not a valid noiseprofile file. run with -d control for details" error.

Am I doing things wrong ?

Thanks a lot
GLLM

Why not shoot your own photos for noise profiles? It isn’t that hard. PIXLS.US - How to create camera noise profiles for darktable

Hey @paperdigits !

Thanks for your reply …
Basically, because I don’t have the D600 anymore  yet I have ten of thousands of photos taken with it !

I’ve taken another look into my system file to look for the noiseprofiles shipped with dt.

And I found the culprit !!
Maker is Nikon, but should be NIKON CORPORATION.
Same error for the model … and I guess many models are affected …

I’ll submit a fix on github.
Thanks
