I think your noise reduction looks great, @plantarum! And I can’t help on color, because, well…as you can see. :slight_smile:

I see you use RT, so my dt edits are of no use, but I couldn’t help from playing with it anyhow.

This looks amazing, especially the crisp whites and blues. Can you detail out how did you achieve that?

Here is what I did:

  • Downloaded your original RAW file and RawTherapee settings
  • Disabled noise reduction
  • Rendered a PNG file, taking all other settings intact
  • Loaded the PNG file into Upscayl, which is a local AI tool for image upscaling, applied the default “Upscayl Standard” model and 1x scale
    • 1x scale might seem pointless, but it isn’t: it’s an effective but slow denoiser
  • Converted the result to JPEG and uploaded - see below.

The AI warning applies - but it was running on my laptop.

White balance was rather tricky, probably fluorescent light of some kind. Great sensor dynamic range test.
