Hello,
I have bought an OM-System OM1 Mark II and edit the pictures in DT 4.8.1. Now I have noticed that the [MakerNotes] information is not exported when exporting to jpg. To check whether this is due to a change in the settings, I completely reset the DT settings (deleted ) and tested with the default settings. The result remained the same, the MakerNotes information is missing when exporting the images from the OM1 Mark II. These are still contained in the original orf files. On my older Olympus camera, these are also included in the export.
Does anyone else have the camera and can reproduce this?
Greetings
Thomas
For OM System cameras you need to have either exiv2 0.27.6/0.27.7 or 0.28.x series to get the MakerNotes support, so it depends on how your dt was built and distributed.
Thank you. I uninstalled the previous version, downloaded and installed the current one. During the version query, exiv2 reports now version 0.28.3. I then restarted the computer and performed an export from DT. Unfortunately, the MakerNotes of the relevant OM1 Mark II images are still empty.
So it seems that my DT-version is working independently of the exiv2 version I have installed and is still using an older/other version of it. However, I don’t know how to check this. I don’t know enough about the technology for that.
You’ll need to tell us what OS, version, how you installed dt.
System:
Kernel: 5.15.0-122-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 11.4.0 Desktop: MATE 1.26.0
info: mate-panel wm: marco 1.26.0 dm: LightDM 1.30.0 Distro: Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia
base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy
It comes w/ exiv2 0.27.5, and dt was most likely linked to that version when built.
This.
