I am struggling to achieve what I want from this shot. I like @Popanz approach and I like the warm tones of @Tim

With the foreground and midground foliage so merged I failed miserably to separate them. Then I thought of 3D a la G’MIC.

View the middle from about a foot or 30 cm away with eyes level; slowly go cross-eyed until a middle, sharp image appears and locks into place. Doesn’t work for everyone but does improve with practice!

Anyone see how the foreground becomes separated from the rest?
