During sporting events, you can’t wait for better weather or light. All you can do is prepare the photo framing, set the exposure parameters, and hope! I wonder if you could squeeze anything more from the picture:

Nice shot, I know it must have been cold. Anyway, I wanted to bring in some color and contrast… may be i overcooked it.

I’ve ported the Juan Melara’s lut to Darktable workflow
Before the haldclut is necessary to use the unbreak input profile module with fixed parameter, the working profile must be “linear rec709”
The usage is very easy:
It helps activate the exposure module with exposure=+0.95 EV
working profile=linear REC709 RGB
Unbreak input profile (after the input profile) with the follow parameters
[0unbreak]
lut 3D with application color space=linear rec709

This time I’ve tried to give a film-like look without using a LUT. I do like Age’s version, though.

My second attempt to the picture. Even more blueish, wider crop but more focus on subjects by applying negative exposure with a mask.
