In your BIOS/EFI, make sure the legacy floppy drive is not enabled.

I had the same issue with this build. Even had to totally shut down pc in order to do anything (the pc had “locked up”)
I went back to build 4.2.1375. I’m on W10

@todd said that rebooting made the errors go away.
Did you try 4.2.1375 after rebooting?

Is it really frozen, or does it keep showing a new popup each time you close a popup?

Yes, when I click, the popup disappear but come again immediately.
I’m able to work on another task but I have always the poppup.
Very dificult to cancel with CTRL-ALT-SUP and “end of task”

That means your Windows is not frozen, this can be an important difference.

Yes, 4.2.1375 worked fine after reboot. I did not try 4.2.1425 again.
