Hi all,
Surely Pix is not the only importer for Gnome Linux that also has the option to delete images from SD cards once imported?
Does anyone have any other suggestions please?
Cheers.

Not answering your question here, but I would be very worried deleting images from SD card using import software in case something went wrong. Then the images could be lost forever. It may be rare but sometimes imports go wrong. I have also seen SD cards requiring reformatting for the camera after software has deleted images. I personally like to format the card in the camera after all my images are safely off. Darktable also knows which ones have already been copied and imported and this helps my workflow when travelling.
Sorry if my response is off topic for the question you ask. Just ignore my response if you disagree with my concerns.
Yeah Iāve made the habit of formatting my cards in camera before I start shooting as well.
I completely agree with the donāt do it advice.
But⦠I donāt use a photo importer: I use grsync, a graphic front end to rsync. It copies new-only pics to my hdd staging area. I think there is a delete original option. In fact the very word āsyncā implies that there must be!
(I do it the other way around, when copying to backup. I delete the files on ādestinationā that no longer exist on āsourceā. Yes, that has its dangers, but if I do have to restore, I donāt want to have to repeat the culling!)

This is the best, I have never used the delete function, so I canāt confirm it is there. I am on W11 now, and I have not found anything similar to use.
