Pixel, laser-focused

Pixel is actually the cat’s name.

The JPG is directly off the camera, the only changes are removing a small distracting reflection in the bookshelf and scaling down. Since the picture has been taken in what my kids now call the “DadCave”, I can confirm that the background color in the picture is pretty close to the actual wall paint.

So curious about what you could do with the raw file.

My take in RT 5.8 development, I went for a different crop (2.39:1 for ultra widescreen). I think it nicely emphasizes the STARE. I also tried to match the background color to the OOC JPEG.

Thank you for the play. RT neutral, then GIMP / G’MIC:

a lot of noise in there - i ad a had quick play in darktable and the profiled noise reduction did a really good job with it.

Thanks for your attention. I know, … noise doesn’t bother me, I even added some noise. :grinning:

er, ok

@Thanatomanic @iarga Interesting crops… Clever ways to get rid of the not-so-great parts of the shot…

Your shot is great, we can see that the cat is ready to spring into action :cat2:
and the space needed for this action has also been visualized. :cat:

What you almost see in the reflection in his eyes is a furniture lift operating outside
