Two days ago, I scheduled some pictures from a remote telescope in Chile. As you may know, the Chilean sky is beautiful, one of the best on Earth. I played with 16 images taken with a L filter and 4 from each R, G and B filters.

You are looking at a galaxy in the constellation of Centaurus. And you see a band of dust in the center too.
It’s a peculiar galaxy, quite famous for its jet of matter, see more info on its wikipedia page (Centaurus A).
