Nice new workstation. The real questions are:
- Will it be powerful enough to run DT
- Who here will be first to buy one?
Nice new workstation. The real questions are:
Performance is mostly FP4. High end consumer graphics cards will probably outperform it in darktable ![]()
Darktable mostly cares about memory bandwidth and a little on FP32. The GB10 is at ~270 GiB on the bandwidth front (not great) but 31 TFLOP/s on the FP32 front. A good consumer card will easily get you north of 600 GiB/s bandwidth. With that said the memory is unified which can help quite a bit when running kernels which do not have OpenCL support.
What is potentially most interesting about the chip is the potential for 15 TFLOP/s of FP64. Decent FP64 performance is something NVIDIA has not provided in an accessible consumer-grade package for many years now.
