Presets and Masks

I select a module, say “color balance” and use the preset “Add basic colorfulness”.

If I right mouse on the module header or left-click on the module menu then it shows the preset both ticked and emboldened.

If I now select a masking option then this confirmation of the preset being used disappears.

Alternatively, if I just open the module and create the appropriate mask then select the preset then the masking disappears,

As ever, whenever something happens that I didn’t expect then I assume that I am doing something wrong. So, am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

It’s working as intended. The mask is part of the module, therefore the preset includes the mask settings. So if you change the mask, same as if you push any other slider in the module, you are no longer using the preset, and it is no longer bold.

Allowing mask presets, and separating those from module presets, would be a great feature, but to my knowledge that’s not currently possible.
