Preview much too grainy

I have noticed that over the last while, the file browser previews are much to grainy.

As you can see from the screen capture, it’s very grasiny but looking at the image with anything else or in any other RT screen linke inspect and editor, it’s not.

You need to double click on image to see fuller size for the grain/sharpening to show like on my screen.

Is there a setting to modify this?

I’m sure this is because the “Inspect” preview has to be a very fast decode, no time for proper demosaicing and applying any filters.

Being there no checkmarks on the thumbs in your screenshot means what you see are downsized embedded jpg files.
