Preview not the same as export with enlarge_canvas and retouch

Hi there,

First thanks to the devs for this brand new version 5.2 of darktable, I am testing it right now and getting to know the novelties

I’ve got an issue with the enlarge canvas in addition to the retouch module since version 5.0.1.

In the darkroom’s preview the image looks as expected :

But when I export it I get the image with the green background of the enlarge-canvas module without the result of the retouch module.

I have tried to add and remove modules in the history but I can’t get it to work. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on ?

Here is the raw file file and the .xmp file
_DSC4538.NEF (23.0 MB)
_DSC4538.NEF.xmp (20.0 KB)

By the way, I just noticed that the colors are different between my screenshot and the final export, is this linked ? Or have I missed something else ?

I could not reproduce the problem on my system using DT 5.3. The cause might be in your export settings. I have included mine for comparison. I wonder if you have upscaling or high quality resampling enabled and if that could cause the problem?

Hi @Terry sorry for responding lately and thanks for trying it out so quickly ! I tried out each of the differences with your export setup and it looks like high quality resampling is the culprit.

Whether it is a expected or not I can’t tell but setting high quality resampling to no solves the green issue.

I am not sure why that is the case but I remember it has caused problems before for others. A search of previous forum posts might be of interest to you, but I am glad it is resolved.

I will check older posts to check if it is helpful to the project to report it on Github or not.
Thanks again !
