Problem with export and Color Management

Hi!

I have RT 4.2.808 installed on Linuxmint 17, and I have a problem when export jpegs:
if I put to queue or I export directly (Ctrl+S), RT exports with settings in Color Management (I set ‘Auto-matched camera profile’), BUT if I export using Fast Export, RT ignore the settings in color management and generate jpeg using ‘Camera standard’.
I don’t understand if it’s a bug or if I have to change something in Preferences…
I never noted this before, because I never used ‘Auto-matched camera profile’, but now I bought a Fuji X-T1, RT has a profile for this camera, so I’m experimenting

Thanks for help…

Hi, alvamatik!

Color Management “Auto-matched camera profile” only concerns the input profile, i.e. how something is read into RT.
Working profile = how something is shown on your monitor.
Output profile = how it will be exported.
[Unless I completely misunderstood your question.]

I have an X-T1 myself and I have been experimenting a lot with different Input profiles and DCP Tone curve/Base table settings. Since I presently have problems with sunlit yellow flowers , I have noticed that I will achieve much better results by selecting the Neutral profile and unticking the Tone curve.

Just tell me if you would like me to send you a very simple pp3 profile for you to test – even if you are not at all interested in yellow flowers  It might give you a base for further thoughts and experiments…

Have fun!
Claes

Fast export is only used if you want a preliminary view of your raws : see File Browser - RawPedia

You should not use it for processing your raws

@gaaned92, yes i know, but the batch resize in fast export is very very useful (size for facebook, size for friend’s CD, size for thumbnails, etc…), so I always use fast export…

@Claes, the problem is the differences between fast export and the normal batch processing, whatever I have in Color Management (sorry for my bad english…)
I’m interested in your pp3, I’m exploring the camera and all is useful to understand… thanks

You can use the normal Resize tool on a batch of images. You can use any tool on a batch of images.
