Not sure if this is the best place to post this issue. I have two machines with Fedora 41 with the Gnome desktop. One is a laptop with Intel core i7 CPU with integrated graphics. The other is a desktop machine with AMD Ryzen CPU with integrated graphics. The desktop machine has no issues with Darktable and is the machine I mostly use for photo processing. The laptop however has a strange problem when trying to add raw files to the library. It displays a list of folders but I can’t select any of them. Only the cancel button works. This doesn’t always happen but is often enough to be annoying. Is there some diagnostics I can enable to work out the cause? Note both machines are up to date with updates and are both running the flathub version of Darktable.
How have you installed?
Via the fedora “gnome software” program. I gives three choices “fedora flatpak”, “fedora rpm” and “flathub flatpak”. For both machines used the flathub version.
Have you made sure the flatpak has the correct file system permissions?
The thing is that I cancel the “add to library” a few times and then it starts working. Some times it works on the first attempt. I only really use the laptop for photography when I’m away on holiday so I’m not sure when this started happening. Definitely occurring with version 5 but the issue may go back to an earlier version.
