I have been trying to run Siril on my computer on and off most of the day. It successfully downloads, but immediately freezes up whatever I happen to click anything including just the expand button. I have a fully loaded year old desktop with window 10. I have tried downloading with my firewall off as well. There is a built in backup drive on my computer and I manually back up to it periodically. No portable drives are attached. Any ideas? Thanks
Did you download a zip file or an exe? Where did you download this from? Have you made sure your antivirus and/or windows defender isn’t getting in the way?
Thats a good question. Usually when I download a zipped file I need to unzip it before the install begins. In his case, I clicked open when finished and it went straight to installation. That kind of surprised me. What do you think and which would be most likely to work?
I turned of my firewall. Shouldn’t that have done it?
I did it again and its an exe…good, bad ?
Exe should be fine. Download it and run the installer.
No cigar. It downloads and when I open it no matter what I click on it crashes. Absolutely nothing works.
Are you on a stable internet connection?
Yes, very
Very strange. I just downloaded it to my newer windows laptop and it works fine ???!!!
