Random woman appeared in a corrupted image on my camera

Thought I might share this. Interesting discussion as to why this happened. And is the OP dead or going to die? :ghost:

Have none of these people seen The Ring movies?

thread has been deleted at reddit.

The thread was about a corrupted photo that for some reason contained fragments from various photo sources. Unsure whether the original file was a raw or JPEG file.

Possible grounds for removal:

  1. Someone indicated that that woman may have been a victim of the Nova music festival massacre. I did not verify the claim, nor would I touch that tragic historical event that has been cascading tragedy ever since.
  2. Fragments of copyrighted material.
  3. Sony not liking that this happened on their camera.

Thread still exists but the original post was deleted due to it being a mere glitch which is defined as not even remotely interesting by the moderator.

Google still reports a thumbnail which looks like this:

Anyway my guess is the camera was interrupted during filesave, recording the metadata headers and only half the data. The header intact caused the completion of the data with the underlying garbage.
