Hi @damonlynch, trying the software on Ubuntu Unity (16.04 LTS), everything works fine. I’m shooting RAW+JPEG by default and I wonder, is there a feature for automated handling of RAW-files (e.g. ‘put them in a separate subfolder’)?
At the moment, I’m running a simple terminal command for this separation task. Am I missing the appropriate option or do you have something like this planned for future updates?
It works very well for me. I’m using the latest GalliumOS on a little Acer C720. I especially appreciate now how having two sources (internal HD and SD card) works very seamlessly during one back up (to external HD). No issues, no lag, and no bugs that effect my usage (default naming conventions, but separate photo and video directories on the external SD). Automatic updates are a breeze and work seamlessly. Thanks for all the devel work!
I’m glad it works out. It’s no shame on you. You’re not the first to not see how to do it. The ongoing challenge for me is to be able to design a UI that is flexible enough to allow the user to do many things but simple enough to be elegant and not overwhelming.
At some point I want to create a “Did you know?” tip of the day window that appears when the program opens that will highlight possibilities of the type your question relates to. But first 0.9.0 will be released.
