As I become more comfortable with RawTherapee I become more convinced that this is exactly the software (and the only software) that I need for processing my family-and-landscape images. In the past I was temporarily distracted by layered/cut-n-paste gimmicks of the type found in PhotoShop.
Not anymore. I just want software that will let me apply the processing rules, instead of my camera applying a meat-clever approach to produce the final image. I don’t want Gimp. Don’t want Darktable. I don’t often use flash so if I ever need to remove red-eye I can do it on my exported image with whatever software.
So thank you RawTherapee developers. This is exactly what I need for my non-professional family-and-landscape images. Like this one;
