I just discovered that you could make the navigator display Hue as [0-1], which makes it easier to pinpoint a hue for Lab tools! (I used to divide the Hue degrees by 360)

Not really a trick but the luminance preview is great for sharpening and denoising.
Personally I use it even for exposure/contrast adjustments sometimes
