Renaming Files Prompt

Hello,

I recently switched from RawTherapee to ART and enjoying the latter very much ! In the rename prompt, I notice that it starts me off with whatever the last name I used to rename was. This is fine; however, I cannot seem to start with the current name of the file I am actively trying to rename. This can be annoying when I just want to tweak a name, but I cannot start with the current one.

I am just missing obvious in the rename prompt ?

the logic is optimised to use patterns rather than fixed names. So, it remembers the last used pattern, in the assumption that it might be useful again in the future. You can set the pattern to the current name by using %f.%e. See the tooltip for all the available patterns:
