I tend to treat these as a photographic challenge 
It is easy to take spectacular photos of a fjord in Norway or a majestic volcanic mountain in the Canary Islands.
But to take an interesting photo in a boring-as-heck beech forest is a skill. (Just to clarify, I am not implying that I have this skill. )
