Ripples of Snow

I took this early yesterday morning after camping overnight in Harriman State Park in NY.

The orange light makes it all feel less chilly. and the snow looks so delicate here.

I totally agree with @patdavid! I like the treatment of the snow and sky as well. Not a fan of the cut off rock on the right though.

For me the rock made a “turnaround” point for the eye.

If I’d had my zoom then I would have framed it just a bit looser, but this was an 85 prime and backing up that much would have gotten my footprints in the scene.

With my own photos, I often find that anything white or pale gray benefits from de-saturation. The results are clean and usually flatter the object. Not sure how I might apply that here.

I see your point. That second ridge in the snow pulls my eye right to the rock.
