Samsung NX1 RAW?

I just rebuilt my main PC and somehow I can’t get RT (W10 x64 4.2.1) to recognize NX1 RAW (.SRW) files anymore. I was using the same build (I think, but not 100% sure) for the past 6+ months and had no problem all along. I’ve tried the latest developmental builds but to no avail. Is there an extra setup step I’m missing for NX1 files (I might have done it before but my memory is hazy)? Right now if I open a .SRW file, I get a black and white rendering like this:

OK, my old pp3 files show I was using AppVersion=4.2.363, Version=326.
But this one is not listed in the download page anymore. Is there another place where I can download old builds like that?
Meanwhile, looks like I should file a bug report for this because the latest builds 4.2.862 and 4.2.1005 both have trouble opening SRW files properly (I get a part of image only).

@Michael I have time to play today (hopefully) - could you upload one of the not-working NX1 .srw files to http://filebin.net/ ?

I’ve uploaded a NX1 SRW file to here: http://filebin.net/o5l5raugil

Please note my problem happens with ALL of my NX1 SRW files that used to work fine until I updated RT today. After my previous comment, I did find the old 4.2.383 build in a corner of Internet but somehow I couldn’t even launch the RT exe–kept aborting with error. Weird. Tried the 4.2.808 build linked by a thread here and finally got it open all my NX1 files again. So maybe regression happened between 808 and 862?

Thanks in advance for your effort.

Morgan, OK, I will enter the bug into GitHub in a bit.

@Michael
This had better go to the surgeons at GitHub.

  • ACR in CS6 = OK
  • Adobe DNG converter = does not recognize image
  • Capture One Pro = does not open image
  • Darktable = OK
  • RT 863 & 1005 = open just a strip, full height but just about 1/4th of the image width.

@ilias_giarimis Could that be related to this line in camconst.json ?

I think that Ingo is on the right track.
I just changed the raw_crop “trial crop” values to 0, 0, 0, 0
and RT opened all of the image.
Image size according to RT 4.2.863 6488 x 4328,
according to ACR 6480 x 4320,
and according to DT 6496 x 4336.

Great, looks like you guys tracked it down.

I have filed a bug #3308 with the above information we have.

Ohh … yes it was left from an experiment and somehow escaped deletion :frowning:
Please delete the line or set it to 0, 0, 0, 0
