Scrolling Implementation

I believe scrolling should be enabled across the entire container, not just when hovering over the scrollbar.

Hey @Gabriel_Provensi - welcome to the forum!

What Issue are you trying to solve with your idea? And what exactly are you referring to? Scrolling the modules sidebar? Scrolling the sliders?

As of now your post will make a lot of people go “huh” and then they will move on.

I wonder if

“miscellaneous → mouse wheels scrolls modules side panel by default”

should be advertised more (or even enabled by default).

Maybe this is not what Gabriel is asking for, but I’d bet good money that it is.

When you run darktable the first time, this is one of the options that can be configured from the welcome screen.

There has been a lengthy discussion already on this topic, and it has been decided not to change the default.

I confess that whenever I try a software for the first time I usually skip through the initial setup and choose whatever is the default, unless there’s a setting which I fully understand.

It’s not a big deal, really, and in any case it’s the user’s responsibility to learn, at a later stage, how the application can be customised to their needs.

But all of this is based on the assumption of what Manuel is asking, which could be a completely different thing.
