Siril will not launch with out deleting the config.ini file

As the title says, I have to delete my config.ini file located in the Siril appdata folder every time before launching Siril. If I don’t the CMD window opens and runs but the Siril window does not open. The Siril icon appears in the task bar, but nothing happens after clicking on it.

I read in other threads that deleting the config file can fix Siril not launching but for me the problem comes back after using and closing Siril.

I am using Siril version 1.2.6 on Windows 11.

Any ideas on potential fixes would be appreciated.

You can open the config file in notepad or similar, does what’s inside it look good? Or is it a bunch of grabled text?

Yes you should share your config file.

you just open siril, close it and it doesn’t reopen? you don’t do anything in it?

I have used it to work on an image, but I didn’t check if the issue had resolved without deleting the config file. I just checked and it seems to work normally now.

Thanks for your help.
