The memory shown in the Siril main panel does not match the memory available on my Mac. (M1 processor, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD disk). It appears to be missing the “100s” digit in the number; that is, if I have 360 GB of memory available on disk, Siril says I have 60 GB available. (See image.) So, when I try to stack many images (say 100 or 200 or more, depending upon exposure, etc.) then I get messages that I have run out of disk memory, when in fact there is plenty. Do others have this problem or know what I can do? Thanks
I believe this is because the purgeable memory which is a Macos stuff not recognized by Siril.
Because if I test on the Macos at my work, it works.
Thank you. I agree. I would empty the trash and then start up Siril, but it didn’t recognize the available memory. But, while I was using Siril, I emptied my trash (it had filled up from discards from previous Siril files) and I watched as the available memory went up, as shown in Siril. With this technique I was generate enough memory that Siril could see such that I could conclude my work.
