Slight change to email notification subject lines

Hi all!

I’m considering modifying the subject line for emails generated from the forum.

At the moment, if you get an email notification from us here, it will look something like this:

The subject line is:

[pixls.us][Category/Subcategory] Subject

I was going to truncate the first part to look like this:

[px][Category/Subcategory] Subject

Basically, change [pixls.us] to [px].

I’m looking for any input from the community on this. I don’t think it’s a big deal, but some folks might have filters setup that key off the [pixls.us] in the subject line.

Go ahead! The subject head is indeed handy for filtering but “[px]” is enough and leaves more room for the rest of the subject line.

I am a voracious reader, so I turned notification off. In my opinion, [px:Subcategory] Subject is best, or something similar. The shorter the better. Some people have tiny screens but would like to see the whole title.

Given that the forum software adds proper ListId headers I could do without the [px] altogether.
