The weather has been pretty good here, nice clear skies. I took a set of time-interval shots of our local church from our attic window. I have processed these as follows:
- Import into DT (latest 3.7 version from the master repository in OpenSuse Tumbleweed)
- Use Astrophoto denoise on all the images
- Export as 16-bit PNG files (Reduced in size, Hugin doesn’t appear to be able to deal with images greater than 4096x4096)
- Blend the PNG files in Hugin using focus stack options (–compression=100 --contrast-weight=1.00 --exposure-weight=0.00 --saturation-weight=0.00 --contrast-window-size=5 --hard-mask --gray-projector=lightness)
- Edit the resultant blended image in DT
This is the result:
I am moderately pleased with this, any suggestions to how it could be improved will be gratefully accepted. Happy to post any additional information, though I would suggest that 75x50MB original images is probably not going to be a good idea
