After successfully stacking in Syril several times, it has quit working; giving me a msg about checking the log. Here is where the logs shows the problem, which I don’t understand.

I have checked my folders & all of the images are the same. (FITTS) I even removed image 32 & it still says the same thing. I have tried other target images & it does the same thing. I blew away the Syril 1.2.0 Beta & now have the 1.2.0 version. I am using a Dell Windows 10, 64 bit. Can anyone help me please? Also this seemed to start after uploading the extra preprocessing scripts, (without, darks, w/out flats, w/out biases, etc) That may be coincidental but that’s when it started & the new version has them all there too.
I am using Windows10, 64 bit, 1.2.0 downloaded from the Siril website to replace the 1.2.0-beta 2 that was giving me problems after downloading the preprocessing scripts, (prepr w/out darks, pre-pro w/out flats, etc). I had gotten a message that I needed to enable developer mode, which I had never seen before. I followed the instructions on my computer to do that, but didn’t know why Siril wanted me to do that. When that didn’t work, I replaced that version, 1.2.0-beta2 with 1.2.0. It then said that stacking failed. Here is the latest log that I am getting now. (I hope this is an acceptable way to send this. If not please instruct) Taylor-Log.txt (3.3 KB)

I really appreciate you trying to help but I am missing something here. Image 30 looks the same as the other images. I honestly don’t know anything about frame sequencer…how do I do that, please? I never had to do anything before but put lights, darks, flats, & biases in the proper folders & hit osc preprocessing. I don’t know what has changed.
I appreciate all of you trying to help. Today I deleted all of the biases images in my folder & put in a new set. I am still getting an “opening image 30 fail” msg in the log. So it seems to me that it is a bug rather than a bad image.
No. Probably not. The script works well for many users. In your case there is probably something wrong with data.
But I asked you to check the image (visually and with statistics). If you don’t do that we could not make any progress.
I did look at the image. Then I looked at all of the images. They all have the same temperature & gain as the lights. They were the same biases that I have use for several months. I use the same gain & temp setting each time. This problem started when I had 1.2.0 beta & uploaded new preprocessing scripts. (w/out darks, w/o flats, w/o biases, w/o db& f’s) I first started getting messages that I needed to enable developer mode. I had never seen that before this. I had to get my husband to show me how to do that. Then I got messages that image 32 failed to load. I thought it meant from the lights folder so I deleted it. I still got that message. Then I blew away that version & loaded 1.2.0. Then I started getting the msg about image 30 in biases. I looked at all of the images in biases & also in lights, darks & flats. I’m no expert but I don’t see anything out of the ordinary. (temp, gain, same exp on lights & darks, etc)
OK so sorry. Please bear with me. I only used Siril a few times before having problems & don’t know my way around. I read the calibration documentation. If I understand correctly, I need to go to the process folder & click on the bias image. Then right click it & click statistics. Do I need to click execute? I took a picture with my phone of it without executing but I understand you don’t want phone pics. I’m not sure how to get you the statistics except to type them out here.

This is from frame 30 & I didn’t run execute. Do I need to send you statistics from the master frame in process? (I am assuming it is the one with the Siril logo on it)
do you actually have some? You said you downloaded scripts that work without calibration files.
If you have some, they should be named dark_stacked.fit and pp_flat_stacked.fit and they will be in the masters directory in the working directory, with the default scripts
I should have some but can’t find them. I hate to say it but they may have gotten deleted accidently. I am so new at this that I’m sure it feels like you are dealing with 5 yr old. I downloaded those scrips just to try to stack some old dslr RAW images that I didn’t have the darks, flats & biases for. My normal photography is done with my ZWO 533mc pro, so I have always done darks, flats & lights & used biases that I made earlier with that camera. I think what I am going to do, because I will be out of town for a week, is blow away iril, take new darks, flats, biases & lights & try again. That will give me all new data to work with. So I will get back to this thread in a week (and how many days until clear skies). I appreciate you & everyone else trying to help. Hopefully when we circle back, something will stand out that we can fix. Thanks again!
I am back home. I have an idea about what is happening. I will know tomorrow. I am imaging tonight and have taken new bias images. I will try to stack tomorrow afternoon and see what happens.
