It’s a sad story…
Under the water there is a village that was submerged after the construction of a dam.
Many inhabitants of the submerged villages tried to prevent the water from flooding their houses and land, but after a long resistance, they lost the battle.
The only thing that remains of the place is the church, which has been moved from its original location to the present site, the rest is all new.
The place is called Riaño.
