Hello Everyone,
i have tried to solve this problem without bothering anyone but could not find a solution.
I would like to use DT with a Fuji X-S10 but DT tells me that the .RAF file is corrupt or not supported. I have checked rawspeed and it looks as if there is already a support created for this issue and also in github there is an effort to integrate this into darktable. So, I installed DT 3.5.0 in order to get this feature but it is not included.
Can anyone help me? What steps must be done to get support for the X-S10? Help is much appreciated.
Daniel
Hi Martin,
this is exactly where I looked before. However, I am unable to conclude what options I have. Can you help? Is it:
a) Install a certain version of DT that gives me the needed support?
b) Install somehow the updated version of rawspeed separately?
c) Wait for an updated version of DT to be released?
Thanks for your help. Kind regards,
Daniel
X-S10 support was added for rawspeed end of November; latest commit for the darktable 3.4 branch of rawspeed was 7.11.
There’s non newer branch integrated in darktables current master now, but since this is usually done a short time before darktable releases it’ll might be in the next bugfix release…
You might build the darktable 3.4 or even current master with a manual integrated current rawspeed code yourself …
Thanks for the help. I have tried to compile a version of DT but failed miserably. I do not think that I can manage now, including a manually integrated version of rawspeed.
Timing was unfortunate and I think the X-S10 patch just didn’t make it into rawspeed stable branch for the 3.4.0 release, while some other related support outside of rawspeed did make it.
I think you could try just adding the related lines by hand in your 3.4.0 installation (find cameras.xml; or just download and replace the whole file), and it should work out w/o any rebuilding:
Wow, this works like a charm! Many thanks. However, I had to modify the existing xml-file, replacing resulted in DT not start at all. Makes my donation from today even more worth it!
