tagging problem with xmps

DT 3.0.2 on Manjaro with Digikam 6.4.0

I have a imported images that are in DK (with Digikam XMPs)

I get the following duplicate tags

I have 3 copies of the “Animals” tag and 3 copies of the “animals” tags.

In Digikam, I only have 1 “animals” tag

  1. Any suggestion on what happened?
  2. What other info do you need?
  3. How can I fix it?
