Hi,
I wanted to try to use RawTherapee for catalogging my fotos.
But it seems it has no feature go give tags like “mother”, “statue” or “bird”. Why would I need colorbased tagging?
So am I to stupid to find it or doesnt it yet exist?
Greetings
I don’t see any option for free text tagging at http://rawpedia.rawtherapee.com.
I use the color label to indicate the state of the edit, eg, red = not started, yellow = edit in progress, green = done, purple = done and is print-ready (no need to export to GIMP for further retouching).
Workflow is generally:
- Import files into RT
- Look through and apply star ratings
- Mark all 4 and 5 star images with color label red
- Start editing images with red color label
You can certainly enter text tags/keywords, subject, location, etc. under the Metadata>IPTC. This data is (presumably; I haven’t tested it) copied to whatever output file you produce. What I find a bit anomalous is that RT provides no filter or search mechanism to look for images having a given tag. You will have to employ another search engine.
