Text Search Missing in 5.0.1?

One of my most commonly used things in Lightroom is the Text Library Filter. It’s simple and fast, and searches across all filenames and all metadata fields throughout the library.

Is there equivalent functionality in darktable? I know I can tag images and build collections, but I’m looking for something more all-encompassing.

I do see a search bar in the lighttable mode in a video by the excellent Darktable Landscapes on YT. (I can’t tell what version of DT this is):

But it seems to be missing from my copy of 5.0.1:

I’ve been reading the docs and other information online, and feel I must be missing something stupid.

In the Collections Filters module in Lighttable view, click New Rule, select “Search” from the menu, then click the thumbtack icon on the resulting rule.

I agree with Mica. It is available if you pin it in the collections filter module.

Aha! Thank you @paperdigits and @Terry. I totally missed the “search” rule in filter collections module, not to mention that module’s relationship with the toolbar above the thumbnails.
