That elusive sunflower core pattern

While shooting Buntings I had a chance to practice with the macro. I’ve always been intrigued by those detailed photos that show off natural patterns that almost look like optical illusions. For this one made use of the details mask to concentrate exposure and the contrast equalizer on the ridges that made up the spiral pattern of the seedlings in this sunflower. It seems to work, but I know there’s always different ways to approach it. I hope you have fun with it.
