Toolbar icons missing

I’d like to add icons with text underneath to the toolbar but I only have “Default” for the pull down and none of the selections when right clicked work. Are icons added somewhere else?
edit: I should add I’m using Linux (Pop! OS).

I installed the Breeze icon package but after closing and reopening Digikam icons are still missing.

In the digiKam settings under Miscellaneous-> Appearance also selected the icon theme?

Thanks, I tried that but it didn’t help. Meanwhile I’ve decided to stick with Darktable and try to do it all in there.
