Tooltips don't work until I restart

Hi,
In the past I remember being able to activate and de-activate tooltips using Shift+T and the shortcut would work immediately.
I usually prefer them off but sometimes like to turn them on temporarily to see what a parameter does.

I am not sure if the behaviour changed since I am now on mac or what but now, I need to restart darktable when I want to turn the tooltips on. (I hit Shift+T, I see the message at the top saying tooltips are on, but they don’t work until I restart the software)

Is that a known issue?
I am using darktable 5.6 and 5.7.0+443~g837eedf843 (same result) on macOS Tahoe 26.5.2.

You might want to raise an issue. There has been a lot of work prepping user interactions for gtk4 and there have been some regressions.

It has been this way for me for a long time. Restart required to activate on or off of tooltips.

Alright thanks guys, I’ll look on github to see if the issue was reported or not, if not I’ll report it.
