I’ve published the Towards an Efficient Photographic Workflow article that unsurprisingly covers my Linux-based photographic workflow. I thought that others may find it useful, and I look forward to hearing you thoughts, ideas, and comments.
Thanks for sharing your workflow. Especially the little backup box, which I already stumbled upon recently, is definitely on my wishlist, but the tough availability of the components here in Germany (especially the Pi Zero) makes this project difficult (and, as always, the lack of free time). Anyway, I wonder if the SoC of the Zero features more than 1 USB port, if yes, it was a strange design decision of the Pi people to not use it. Not because of extra cost of the USB hub PCB, but for additional current drain of the hub, additional size and reduced transfer speed. Especially for a mobile backup solution which may be powered by batteries, these points are important. Wish the Zero had 2 USB3 ports .
BTW: Could you share the power consumption of the device in idle and in a typical backup state?
