I’ve put a new .svg into $~/home/.config/darktable/watermarks, but even after refreshing, my watermark still doesn’t load. I’m using the dev 2.0.5 version.
When I go to the watermarks folder, the .svg is there and you can see it fine when opened in an image viewer.
Like previous iterations, this one was also made using Gimp, saved as a tiff, then opened in Inkscape and converted there.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.
EDIT: Sorted. I put them into the /usr/share/darktable/watermarks folder instead.
Thanks. I tried that, but the .svg didn’t show up, so went into the usr folder (along with the pre-installed ones) and put it there instead. I seems to work fine there.
I doubt it. Are you sure that you are putting it in the right folder? Not that it matters too much. However, in general it’s not a good idea to put user files into the install location as removal of the program (or future packaging changes) might delete those files. In the home directory they are safe.
Yes I checked and double checked. It was the right folder (watermark, I had to create it myself) but still no go. Both files you listed above were present in the darktable folder. Yet when I put the same file in the usr folder - bingo!
If it wipes it during an update, I can place it back again.
