troubleshoot darktable export /dehaze module

dt 3.4.1.1 windows 7 pro

I’ve got an image looking really nice in DT darkroom. Input file is a .tif. Image is a nearly full disk moon.

Although the image looks good in darkroom, upon export the resulting tiff is nearly all black, with a only slight white fringe that runs around the perimeter of where the moon image ought to be visible.

I believe I am using the same export parameters that normally work properly for me.

By trial and error, I think I’ve determined the issue seems related to the dehaze module. If I turn it off, the exported image is correct. Any ideas on why the image looks good in darkroom with or without dehaze, but the export is radically different when dehaze is on?

Are you using OpenCL? If so, try disabling it.

It’d be nice to track down the root cause. Disabling OpenCL altogether impacts performance.
@MerryRunaround: what graphics card and driver do you use? Also, could you please share an affected image plus the xmp sidecar?
