Walk across the bridge getting to the other side of the road and i quickly snapped this in Macau. I wonder how everyone living here feel.
I wanted to mimick an anamorphic lens and add sun gleam but I’m not sure how. I love the 2008 feel of green orange tone though.

If I take into account your preferences in color, this would be a compromise solution, without significantly altering the natural character of the city’s surroundings.

I’m not quite sure how to do the anamorphic look in darktable - or even if it is the right tool.
Anyway, here is my attempt. I did some perspective distortion (but it’s not correct), a crop, some bloom, and some crude attempts at lens flare.

I’m not sure why this is called a golden hour, this is clearly overcast, as no objects on the street have shadows that would be characteristic of any sunlight. Maybe I’m misunderstanding the terminology here
Spektrafilm with Vision3 250D on Vision 2383 with minimal adjustments. The shot is quite cool by itself so beyond WB there isn’t much to do

Hey @lylejk - can G’MIC make an anamorphic look from an image taken by a spherical lens?
No preset that I’m aware of that can convert a spherical plate into a wide format such as anamorphic, but someone who codes in G’MIC likely can create such a preset. I’m just a filter guy that use the many presets that have been created. Not sure how just simple resizing the image wouldn’t get you the desired output but don’t have an image taken from a spherical lens to see.

It was worth asking. Anamorphic is tricky, stretch + distortion, and oh, those flares!
