I can’t seem to use an external raster mask twice.
Exposure tool originally was automatic because it created the scene referred default to correct for a camera.
Then I wanted to darken the background so I wanted to use exposure again with a raster mask which I had already put in external raster masks and it was a background mask. I did that.
Then I wanted to lighten the portrait foreground with the same mask inverted. So I created a 3rd exposure tool, specified the same external raster mask, but it didn’t show any mask at all. It was just a blank mask, even though I selected that same external raster mask.
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if this is a bug. Has anyone tried something like this?
Thank you for asking your question. It is a bit hard to understand exactly what is going on. Can you post a screen capture of the settings of your 3rd exposure tool?
Sorry for the delay. I was trying to catch up on some editing. It was a series of pictures that were outside and highly backlit. For the rest of the pictures, I didn’t see this problem again. But I also changed the way I approached the edits. So I can’t say for sure that it was something I did wrong, or would still be there. At this point, I’ll chalk it up to operator error and close the discussion. If I see it again I’ll try to duplicate and record what I did.
