Using Ha and OIII extract in script and sirilic OIII has changed to 32bit

Have processed Ha and OIII from a DUO filter on a OSC and the Ha is 16bit but the OIII is 32bit and so cannot combine

Why you cannot ? Of course you can. For example no problem in PixelMath.
And this is normal because interpolation has been done on OIII.

EDIT: not interpolation, but PixelMath line in the script that change the image.

Sorry but it was Pixel math that objected to it…(and RGB combine)

PixelMath work indifferently with 16 and 32bits.
It converts to 32bits.

What are the logs?

It just said that the size and formats were different and would only add the Ha not the OIII. I’m in a zoom at the moment, then I’ll need to process again and send you some details.

These are the files I got from Sirilic

Sorry
Please close off, just opened these in Pixel math and it worked as a HOO

Best regards
Paul

You need to use -resample option in Extract_HaOIII command.

See Commands — Siril 1.2.0 documentation

Thanks
One for the future…an option in Sirilic to add a resample option in the script

You should ask to the sirilic gitlab then.

Sorry didn’t understand that you are different teams, are you OK with people using Sirilic? Or do you prefer users to just use the Siril scripts.
Paul

There is no problem to use Sirilic. I don’t use it myself but if people prefer it, then that’s fine.
I tell you to post the request on gitlab because there is more chance that he will see it. Sirilic developer is not on this forum very often.
