View from Skagerrak Bridge in Cochem, Moselle

Long time no PlayRaw from me. This one is a simple landscape shot from Cochem.
The lens in use is not the sharpest in this world, and sometimes has focussing issues.

So here it is together with my RT edit

I don’t see any issues with this lens. At least not on this photo.

Interesting use of the HSV equalizer!

When it is in good mood, it can do sharper. Like the photo before this, with less river and more city

My edit in DT 5.1. I applied a little lens deblur because you felt the lens needed more sharpness.

A beautiful image. So for my play in GIMP I have only made slight changes.
Principally, a lightening of the darkest areas and a reduction in saturation for the red awnings on the boat which I felt were a little obtrusive.

You can also disable the denoise module because when there’s no noise profile in dt it results in a lot of blur (see the trees in the background, with and without denoise).

I just checked the image and yes you are 100% correct that this image doesn’t have a noise profile for the camera and the default is excessively soft. My cameras are well profiled and therefore I missed the fact that some cameras are not profiled. Thanks for this information.

Great point. Yes, it is a big improvement.

2 versions for this nice shot and beautiful place. :star_struck:

For the black and white I put a tag called BW so search BW and that’s all. I’ve tried to make the sky darker with bright clouds because I feel kind of artist today :joy: but it didn’t work as expected. 4 modules.

Indeed! The improvement is even visible in the downscaled version :+1:
