Hiking season is back. A casual downhill stroll from Amden to Weesen, by the Walensee in Switzerland. It was quite hazy, though it was not that readily apparent on site. I tried to recover some, but not all of the haze. darktable master version.
What amazing view… I hope I get to experience something like this someday. Here it’s mostly plains, a few mountains but nothing so grandiose 2022-05-15_12-26-31_DSC_0009.NEF.pp3 (11.5 KB)
Thanks for all the different versions. @arturoisilvia, you just blew away that haze! @hatsnp : I also come from a country that has no big mountains (Hungary). There the highest peak is Kékestető (literally: ‘bluish top’), at 1014 metres (3327 feet), so it’s much smaller than the highest Portuguese mountains.
Here’s a LUT-based version, using the ‘Landscape6’ LUT from ON1 (a free download from Free LUTs):
Indeed! I thought Hungary was much more mountainous than it is, but looking at the map it looks like it is surrounded by mountains but it’s mostly flat itself
Most of our big mountains here are on the islands unfortunately, and the other two in the continent are in somewhat elevated positions so they don’t look so ‘sublime’, only really Serra da Estrela (Star Mountain Range).
