So I am having a problem. My HP printer/scanner went out and I want to change over to an Epson ET 8550. The problem is that this printer is no where to be found. I think Epson loosely have a driver for it. My other option is the P700 which is a real photo printer. It is able to be found and the mail in rebate makes it cheaper than the ET 8550, but the ability to run it in Linux is almost non existent. Anyone have any advice here? The ET-8550 has a scanner built in, and an XD card slot. The P700 does not, but it does provide superior printing. I have a sport photography business on the side and I would be using it to print posters.
