Warm sunset light in southern Mississippi

At the end of the same day I saw this glowing warm sunlight, with only moments to spare. I didn’t have time to grab a tripod, so I was shooting hand-held at an ISO higher than I would’ve otherwise chosen. As a result there’s a bit of noise. But the light was great on the trees.

Nice picture - I didn’t notice any noise but I didn’t go looking either. DT 4.8.1

Hi Len,
I prefer your edit and couldn’t get a look I was happy with.

Thanks. My edit is as close as I can get to how I recall it looked at the time. As usual, lots of local edits.

@lphilpot on a side note. what are those trees? They look like Australian Eucalypts

Hello,

I really like your edition, which I used as inspiration for my version edited with Darktable.
I also used one of my LUTs.

Honestly I don’t know, and they’re now 180 miles away so I can’t check. But they’re definitely not eucalyptus – no smell!

Trying to respect that sunset light, with its golden tones, without exaggerating and maintaining the “ambiance”. I have this:
